Large Farm #22

Beginning with a master site plan, a family-owned dairy farm in the Cincinnati suburbs was transformed into the premier dressage stables of the area.  The 24-stall barn, 80’x200’ indoor riding arena, a 100’x200’ outdoor practice arena and a 150’x300’ competition arena combine to make this boarding facility a destination for dressage riders from the entire region.  Surrounded by residential development, the farm remains an oasis of peaceful enjoyment.

Large glass-top Classic Equine sliding doors are tall enough for equipment to get into the barn and arena, but easy enough for youngsters to open.  Emergency exits for horse and rider are provided by the sliding Dutch doors and numerous walk doors on all sides.

Nearing the end of construction in January, the facility is almost ready for boarders.  The four active dormers light the aisle.  The large porch is home to cook-outs and informal conferences.

Built for the efficiency that all boarding facilities need, the simple 1000-series Classic Equine stall fronts and full wood partitions are an economical option for a large barn.  The interior column rafter design with a 14’ wide aisle gives plenty of room for horses to pass in an open and airy stable.
